EXPRESSING CREATIVITY
It is our function as humans to be creative, to be makers. In our work, skills, talents, art, pleasures and hobbies. All we can do is produce from imagination and perception what already exists and give likeness and creativity to those things.
There is a timeless fear of creative people and creative process. It is because they unveil, unmask, and reveal and comment through various expressions what others will not or cannot express.
The creative person often works in symbols and myths and this can become mysterious to those who do not understand the creative person. There is a high degree of emotional intensity for expression in creative people and this can be very threatening to others because passion for their work can be easily misunderstood.
New ideas and concepts can bring new order and this always intimidates the established order. This is for sure one of the main reasons that the arts are so unwelcome in the ‘established organized church.’
(From: ‘Presentation’ Ben Fike, 2012)
“Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.” (Acts of the Apostles 7:29)
“Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” Jesus
