DO NOT FEAR #5

The next issue of Do Not Fear, Jesus said, “Do not fear those who kill the body, but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28). Long ago I saw and learned, the principle of the fear of death, and determined that no one is mature, or useful, in the kingdom that is afraid of death.

It would be many years later that I learned what could happen to the soul. Not the death of the soul, but injury, damage, and wounding of the soul. This too can render us almost helpless. And we must fear the circumstances that injure because they can lead to death. Man cannot only kill us in body, but can kill us in soul as well if faith does not rise up to fight back in love to the wounded areas of the soul. Only God can destroy us completely and only God can restore us completely.
