DELIVERED THREE WAYS
There is an interesting and encouraging phrase of scripture by Paul, an apostle, to the Corinthian Church:
The first part of the letter refers to the “the Great God and Father” who delivers us: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
The Father is the Father of mercies, God of all comfort, the God of tribulation, and the Father who comforts us in our troubles…
This powerful statement follows: “we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.”
(2 Corinthians 1:10-11)
The God who did deliver us…
The God who does deliver us…
The God who will continue to deliver us…
We’re covered. Let’s go for it.
“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Jesus
