MAC AND CHEESE
Mac and Cheese has become a recent addition to many major restaurant chains including Chick-fil-a, Panera Bread, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden and many more. It is more than an item on the Children’s Menu. It is a much-ordered item by all ages.
I thought this was a new phenomenon until Popeye’s Chicken came out with a new Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Customers lined up and out the doors and the Drive Thru was a block long trying to get the new chicken sandwich. Just after the sandwich came out they ran out of buns and almost caused riots among the customer base. They decided to ask customers to come with their own buns and they would supply the Crispy Chicken. Hey whatever. I read one story of a long line at a Popeye’s in Maryland where someone cut in line and the person behind him stabbed him and killed him. One should not cut in line for the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich. (This is a true story and a whole new spin on ‘cut in line.’)
We need a gospel that is as appealing to our spiritual appetite as Mac and Cheese and Crispy Chicken Sandwiches are to our physical appetite.
