COMING TO JESUS #2
We are in a time when all lines are getting blurred about entry into Jesus and His kingdom. The lines are always blurred without truth. For example, the New Age religion (the spirit of the age) is being called ‘a new spirituality, oneness that excludes no one, a larger understanding, a transcending into a larger spirituality. The era of the ‘single savior’ is over. We must enlarge to all sources of salvation. Be open and be like God. Let your spirit soar (usually like an eagle) down whatever path it chooses. Be free.’ This is what we are being told.
That sounds like a pretty good religion and it is being promoted more and more to conform with the political correctness of not showing any preference to color, religion, politics, race or ethnicity. We are fully in the laboratory of social experimentation. Trying to please and appease every person, without offending any person, is now defined as democracy. Tolerance is somehow equated as love and respect. We have become as diverse as the United Nations and equally as incompetent and divided. It is unfortunate that our theology is matching our culture instead of scripture.
Of course the gospel is for “every tribe and tongue and person” and the gospel of the Kingdom is the gospel of Jesus Christ who is Lord and Savior.
“For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.” Jesus
