CHRIST IN US
Learning to trust the Father through Jesus within us by the power of the Holy Spirit is what produces a faith that is not based in knowledge and doctrine only. I do not believe it because of Calvinism, Arminianism, Stoicism, Dispensationalism, Pentecostalism, Catholicism, Protestantism or a dozen other ism’s. Various doctrines and information may be beneficial but not before we have a “revelation of the Son of God” and we cannot have that until we are empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Religion and man’s ways with religion can actually cause a derailment of a faith search. Hopping through all the religious hoops, orders, odors, and ism’s can bring an informed, knowledgeable, frustrated unbelief. Jesus said:
“This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)
“For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:11-12)
“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27) Whatever else may be in us…it must move over for this.
“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I myself will raise him up on the last day.” Jesus
