CHOOSING GOOD OR EVIL
Mark Hart, Vice President of Life Teen International a Catholic Youth organization, popular writer and speaker wrote,
“God didn’t give Adam and Eve the right to decide what was good and evil. He gave them the right to choose between good and evil.”
This is very well said and an important distinction. This is because good and evil were already established because Satan rebelled and was removed from the ‘heaven realm.’ He chose rebellion, pride and evil rather than fellowship with God. Evil has been decided and it is now up to each person to choose good rather than evil.
And I say… the Lord also gives us the right to choose between believing and accepting the offer of salvation and the good rule of the King and his Kingdom…it is our choice just like the right to choose between good and evil.
“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” Jesus
