BRAVERY #2
This Bravery meditation is continued from yesterday.
Brave enough to release my giving so my left hand does not know what my right hand is doing.
Brave enough to give away my second coat.
Brave enough to receive from others without shame and weakness.
Brave enough to love children and become like them.
Brave enough to speak to my culture while being in it and not above or outside of it.
Brave enough to care about AIDS.
Brave enough to fight evil with humility.
Brave enough to not interrupt while others are speaking.
Brave enough to not expose others to make myself look ‘right.’
Brave enough to believe that bread and wine make me whole.
Brave enough to involve myself in issues of clear air and clean water, renewable resources, and environmental protection without intimidation.
Brave enough to turn my cheek and live my life from the cheek that has not been slapped.
Brave enough to listen.
Brave enough to pray, give, and fast silently.
Brave enough to love my neighbor even a little bit.
Brave enough to openly show affection for people as I do for animals, art, music and nature.
Brave enough to trust someone.
