BAD DAYS, GOOD DAYS
All days will not be good days. Some days will be bad days. Some days will be good days.
Recently I was with a couple of people and we were outdoors visiting in nothingness conversation and pleasantries and I started to go my way. Then one of the people said, “This is the day the Lord has made,” …and the other joined in… “and I will rejoice and be glad in it.” They proclaimed faith and position.
As I heard this I knew the verse they were quoting from Psalms 118:24, a very familiar verse. I also remembered that this was not one of those “I will rejoice and be glad in it” days. Sometimes on Bad Days (and Good Days) it is well to remember the next verse:
“Please, Lord, please save us.
Please Lord, please give us success.” (v.25)
Some days we might just be trying to stay afloat and connected to some kind of faith and reality. Thank you that you hear us and come to rescue us dear Lord. “Please, Lord, please save me” and then I will try to “rejoice and be glad in it.”
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Jesus
