BACK IN THE GAME
The sidelines are safe… the game can be dangerous. There are seldom injuries or decisions on the sidelines. But to be a player we must be ready to go into the game when called upon. Whatever works to get us off the sidelines, off the bench, and back into the game is something we should want and work to achieve.
In sports there will always be the starting group and the back up group but everyone must be ready to play.
If something works and gets us off the sideline and back into the game we ought to pay attention because we are here to do the game. A player should not be satisfied to sit on the sidelines and watch the game from the bench.
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
Anais Nin (1903-1977) author
May we bloom openly and beautifully and get back in the game.
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.” Jesus
