ALL THAT IS MINE IS YOURS
In the story of the Prodigal (Foolish) Son in Luke 15 we read of a son who made many mistakes and left the family and farm but later comes to his senses and returns home to be welcomed by his father. There is another son who stayed home and when the father throws a big party for the returning son the other son becomes jealous and resentful.
“Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”
We also need to hear the Father say to us today, “All that is mine is yours.” The Father wants to throw a party in our honor as well. Come on…let’s get down brothers and sisters.
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
“But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.” Jesus
