A LOT WE DINO ABOUT DINOS
“Matching dino tracks found across the ocean. Paleontologists have discovered a trail of preserved dinosaur footprints in South America and Africa, suggesting the existence of a prehistoric highway along a dried-up river that once connected modern-day Brazil and Cameroon. Paleontologists have found more than 260 dinosaur footprints from the Early Cretaceous Period in Brazil and Cameroon, now more than 3,700 miles (6,000 kilometers) apart on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The prints date back ~120 million years, after Pangea (the time when all was one land mass before breaking into smaller masses) started breaking up and when South America and Africa were part of a smaller supercontinent called Gondwana. The continental breakup brought the study’s authors together—two of them became friends years ago when they were researching the dino steps from opposite ends of the ocean.” (Louis L. Jacobs, a paleontologist at the Southern Methodist University, reported by CNN)
There is a lot of stuff I don’t know about and dinosaurs are one of them. Finding this ancient prehistoric path must have been a thrilling discovery. Looking at the fossilized footprint photos of tripod feet of a sixty-foot long dinosaur is amazing. It reminded me of the find in Ouray, Colorado that was just disclosed about 3 years ago of the West Gold Hill Dinosaur Track, where 134 fossilized dinosaur footprints, the longest continuous track way in the world was found. The Forest Service purchased this property to protect it.
“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Jesus
