SHOWER CURTAIN #3
Cynthia Sismore had a serious trauma incident when a wet shower curtain hanging from a straight shower curtain rod grabbed her unexpectedly about eleven months ago up near Des Moines, Iowa. A simple bowed rod could have eliminated this whole problem. We must remember that trauma is ‘emotional shock following a stressful event or a physical injury, which may be associated with physical shock and sometimes leads to long-term neurosis.’ (Mac Dictionary) That’s just what happened.
At her therapist suggestion, she moved to Taos, New Mexico and changed her name to Sindy Sunset, became a dedicated vegan (saying, “I no longer eat flesh”). She became a dedicated tofu cook, a yoga practitioner and jewelry designer of rings, necklaces, earrings, belts and various other jewelry… all made out of metal and plastic shower curtain rings! Along with her new cat Glowworm, she works hours painting, stringing beads, inlaying turquoise, knotting various threads and making the shower curtain rings into nose rings, earrings, eye brow rings, lip rings, belly-button rings and all the latest fashion of rings, necklaces, hair berets and key chains. She sells them from the square in Santa Fe while sitting crossed-legged on a Navajo rug drinking Wonder Water and humming.
She bathes only in small plastic dishpans and stopped shaving her legs. She wears no makeup except what the ‘Great Spirit’ gave her. She now has another cat named Ringworm. She has become very thin, stares a lot and has a plastered grin on her face. I think she doing a lot better since the plastic shower curtain attack nearly destroyed her.
No, really, this is what happened.
