MARRIAGE WISDOM
King Solomon, son of King David, took the throne of Israel after David died. Solomon was given the gift of wisdom from the Lord and he became very wealthy. As time passed he not only turned to other gods but he devoted a lot of time to acquiring wives and concubines (mistress, but not a wife). The scriptures say he had 700 wives and 300 concubines. That’s a lot of women. Somehow great wisdom and 1000 women don’t go together very well.
Fortunately, Solomon left us this wisdom that the scribes forgot to put in the Bible:
My wife and I always compromise. I admit I am wrong and she agrees with me.
You have two options in a marriage. You can either be happy or you can be right.
Marriages are made in heaven. But, then again, so are thunder, lightening, tornadoes and hail.
Marriage is when a man and woman become one; the trouble starts when they try to decide which one.
“So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate”. Jesus
