SOME MORE LISTS
After yesterday’s Wisdom List #23 and some comments on Lists, I have some more List comments. I gave these reasons yesterday for Not Liking Lists:
1. No one likes lists
2. No one reads lists (carefully)
3. No one likes being told what to do
4. No one listens to lists
5. No one wants to be as organized as a list
6. No one needs another list to go with the other lists
7. No one wants to process step-by-step
8. No one wants to finish reading this list
9. No one wants to live going from #1 to #9
As Roz went through to edit grammar, content and to see if I fallen off the back of the truck, she wrote beside each of the nine reasons: “I do.” For example, I wrote: ‘No one likes lists.’ She wrote, ‘I do.’ This was her answer on all, except for #3, ‘Sometimes.’
What’s the point in all of this? Thou wouldst be wise to listen. A List Maker and User inevitably marries a Non-List Maker and Non-User.
If thou might always remember that in thy seasons of non-marital bliss/conflict, it can truly help to get one off of the other’s … List.
It seems the Lord’s plan is for us to be attracted to what is opposite of ourself. When both opposites meet in the middle… both are made better. Roz and I know this as sure as a goose goes barefooted. When two people are the same, they sit round and make lists together or never make a list of any kind… O, my.
Thou might carefully rethinkth this List stuff.
