SYSTEMS CANNOT LOVE
Bob Mumford, teacher and author wrote:
“Systems cannot love, only people can love. They may profess or intend to love, but a system does not have the capacity to love because it is not a real person. The rationale of the system is to suppress and/or domesticate every dissenting voice. Unanimous support for the will and intention of the system is its single purpose. It has become corporate evil, the kind that has the ability to make us conform or rebel. We conform for the purpose of the pay-off…the rewards received for being domesticated. We rebel, ostensibly, for the purpose of preserving Kingdom principles. Paul states it like this to the Galatians, “Do not be yoked again in the bondage from which Christ has set us free.” When Agape in the form of God’s Kingdom clashes with the ruling principality, it can be explosive. Because Christ is a real person, he loves us and seeks to instruct us in love.”
Whether political, business, professional or church, if they become systems, and many do, they lose their ability to love because systems do not love; only people do. Systems and programs, politics and policies will try to love by entitlement, endorsement and a false sense of belonging, but the reason behind the reason is control and power over an individual for the benefit, though false, of the entity or corporate system. This is not a strike at politics, business, or other groups any more than the church. If we are a system…we are a system, whatever it is, whatever it is called. AI is a system, for good or evil, it cannot love. The Kingdom way is love…period.
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.” Jesus
