JUST LIKE ME
An old man
Sat down by a tree
He whispered something
The tree answered
Just like me
My old bones ache
Movement is slower
My fingers shake
The tree answered
Just like me
But my heart is light
My minds at rest
I feel my soul is right
The tree answered
Just like me
Under your branches I sit
Touching your bark
My skin close as I can get
The tree answered
Just like me
I will soon go down I think
Into a box they’ll make
Into the ground I’ll sink
The tree answered
It will be made of me

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one, who believes in me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” Jesus
