FINDING HOME
Finding Home is an interesting study as we journey along. We might sing and say ‘this world is not my home, I’m just passing through,’ but that is pretty lame thinking for as long as we ‘live here and not there’ whatever that might mean. Many of us believe that there will be ‘another home, another garden, another Eden’ in the future. But I also think it important to try and find a ‘home’ while we are still here paying rent, ordering from Amazon, making a car payment, paying for children’s day care and eating Domino’s Pizza.
Pico Iyer, essayist wrote: “For more and more of us, home has really less to do with a piece of soil, than you could say, with a piece of soul.”
We are here until we are not here.
I’m headed back over to the other side of the Pond for some Cuban Coffee and a Peanut Butter and Forgiveness Sandwich to deal with the soil experiences that could have been soul experiences.
“Truly, I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Jesus
