DOING GOOD

I like the basic secrets of Scripture that teach us how to live successfully. The classic being, “In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets” (Matthew 7:12). These simple one-liners only take one-lifetime to work through. Or, “Do not judge so that you will not be judged” (7:7). ’But Lord, this is my favorite pastime.
It makes me look so good and others not look as good as me….” I call this Casket Thinking… dead and needing to be buried.

Negative conversation concerning our culture, economy, politics, church, media… blah, blah, blah, can leave us sliming out life with our bitching, moaning and pointing to evil. Paul, an apostle, wrote, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:28).

Do Good
Act Good
Speak Good
Listen Good
Believe good
Be an overcomer by doing Good.
