REBUILDING OUR PERSONALITY

Jesus started his teaching by telling us how to Rebuild our Personality. They are called Beatitudes and they are the basis and foundation of a new and Kingdom personality.

The Blessed Person is fully satisfied, joyful, and beautiful. This is because the believer has the indwelling life of God within and thus God’s nature and His kingdom within him. The blessing is “You are blessed” and “on account of me” and not because of circumstances.

Blessed are the poor in spirit. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn (ours and others sins). They shall be comforted.
Blessed are the gentle. They shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. They shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful. They shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart. They shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers. They shall be called the sons of God.
Blessed are those who been persecuted for the sake of righteousness. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when insulted, spoken of evilly, on account of Jesus. Theirs is a great reward in heaven.

These are the only things that make our personalities new and rebuilt. And, it is the powerful and loving work of the Holy Spirit… it is nothing we can possibly do on our own.
