MORE POLITICAL WISDOM
I am not a very politically minded person. I try to stay informed but not conformed, reformed, transformed or deformed by politics, media and political opinion. I read, I weigh it, and process it… as politics. However, yesterday’s Journal entry on Solomon reminded me of a quote by François Fénelon (1651-1715) poet, theologian, priest, author and archbishop:
“Whoever is capable of lying, is unworthy of being reckoned in the number of men; and whoever knows not to be silent, is unworthy of ruling.”

“My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I would not be handed over to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “Then are you a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” Jesus
