SO DON’T WORRY II
The Lord made promises to deliver and supply the Jews as they return from Babylonian Captivity.
(See yesterday’s Journal entry)
In Isaiah 41:10 The Lord tells the people: ‘Do not worry’ and ‘Don’t be afraid.”
Isaiah 41:18 mentions part of the provision as: water.
The abundance of water would be supplied in four ways: rivers, fountains, pools and springs.
“I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus.
I will give them fountains of water in the valleys.
I will fill the desert with pools of water.
Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.” Rivers, fountains, pools and springs…that is water of all kinds in all kinds of places.
Isaiah 41:19 then tells of the provided shade in all kinds of terrain and conditions.
“I will plant trees in the barren desert—
cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine.”
Shade from the Seven Trees of God.
“I am doing this so all who see this miracle
will understand what it means—
that it is the Lord who has done this,
the Holy One of Israel who created it.”
(41:20)
So Don’t Worry… four sources of water and seven kinds of shade and supply and food.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Jesus
