TREE KNOWLEDGE
There is some distinctive about growing older and an important one is experience. If we have been around a little longer and paid attention we should have insight into some stuff. It is what I call Tree Knowledge.
Tree Knowledge is the knowledge one gains from the long-term experience of storms, being firmly rooted, strong against adverse winds, acquainted with seasons and changes, overcoming diseases and sickness, fast and slow growth seasons, draught and heavy rains, surprise loss of a companion tree, surprise growth of a new sapling, joy of having produced after your kind, mystery of being next to another tree for a life time, knowing that it takes all the balance of the forest to be a healthy tree.
“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that are planted in the house of the Lord
shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age;
they shall be filled with vitality and foliage,
to show that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” (Psalm 92:12-15)
“For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit.” Jesus
