THE AIRLINE PILOT

In a dream 19 September 2023 I saw a Flight School with pilots training to fly commercial aircraft. The instructors were all seasoned experienced pilots. The Flight Manuals and materials were extensive, exacting and based on the best experience and safety knowledge. Each pilot had these manuals and they were meticulously going over each and every detail of the Flight Manual.

In the next scene I saw each Pilot with an Instructor going around physically looking and checking every part of the aircraft. Then they boarded the airplane and after considerable guidance and initiation started the huge engines and moved out to the runway. Then carefully and cautiously they were off and airborne.

After many practice takeoffs and landings, simulated emergencies and every imaginable protocol… they graduated from Flight School as Pilots.

The second part of the dream was very parabolic and obvious.

The Pilots all left the school and scattered to various Airline Companies to work as Corporate Pilots for these companies. This all went well for a while and then the companies began to change policies and practices and started asking the Pilots to ignore certain standards and regulations for better profits, time saving methods so they could serve more customers for less money and therefore increase the popularity and income of the companies. Though this was dangerous and often life threatening for flights and passengers for not following Flight Aviation standards, codes and conventions… it was done anyway for profit and popularity. Many of the Pilots were stuck with having to make decisions about changing Airline Companies, but then again they would lose their salary, medical insurance, retirement and other benefits. So, many of them stayed on though conflicted and others seem to have no opinion one way or the other… it was just a job.

As the dream ended I heard… the Church Model and the Airline Model are little different and in fact are very similar if the standard is ignored. Beware of mid-air collisions. (End of dream)
