BAD DAY REMEDY # 2
When we are having a bad day we need to indulge and surround ourselves with Cuban Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls. It helps a great deal to have a dog, cat, parrot or horse to pet… or to pet someone else’s pets. There is a transfer from the animal other than hair and licking. To truly look into a dog’s eyes is to look into our own.
To look into a horse’s eyes is often mysterious. To look into a parrot’s eyes is zero. To look into a cat’s eyes is like looking into space.
If the dog-petting thing does not work… maybe gather up some Gouda cheese, Crusty Artisan Bread and Pepperoncini Peppers, Black Olives and Sparkling Water and head somewhere in the forest. Trees do what running water and dog petting do: They balance us. They speak to us. Trees also have eyes.
If none of this worked… maybe take along a thermos of Cuban Coffee and more Cinnamon Rolls. We might just get fatter and stay bitter until we are better. We will get better.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring it’s own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Jesus
