THE OVERCOMER I

There is no enemy like the past… there is nothing but dreams for the future. The victory is now. Overcome!

John, an apostle, wrote in the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the Letters to the Seven Churches:

To the church at Ephesus: “To everyone who overcomes I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:7)

To the church at Smyrma: “Everyone who overcomes will not be harmed by the second death.” (2:11)

To the church at Pergamum: “To everyone who overcomes I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.” (2:17

To the church at Thyatira: “To all who are overcomers, who obey me to the very end, to them I will give authority over all the nations. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots. They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star!” (2:26-28)

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:5)

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give permission to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” Jesus
