OUR STORY

From several perspectives I am hearing of the desire of many “to tell their story” and have others hear their story. This is instead of a continuing barrage of teaching and information back and forth between believers. It is as if there is no longer a desire to know as much as to be known. We seem to want to find those we can trust enough to hear our story.

Our story consists of who we are, where we have come from and where we are going and what has happened as we journey along. By telling our story we move away from only thinking corporate (or church, group, ministry, etc.) and our thoughts move to a personal realm as we tell and listen to each other’s story. The question is: to whom can I tell my story? (Other than a mate) There is power in a story. Stories connect people as nothing else can. Facts and figures allow humans to wrap their heads around issues; stories enable us to wrap our hearts around one another.
