WHAT IS WORLDINESS?

David F. Wells, professor and author wrote,

“It is that system of values, in any given age, which has at its center our fallen human perspective, which displaces God and his truth from the world, and which makes sin look normal and righteousness seem strange.

It thus gives great plausibility to what is morally wrong and, for that reason, makes what is wrong seem normal.”

Paul, an apostle, wrote to Timothy and Titus:

1 Timothy 6:3
“If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness…”

2 Timothy 4:3
“For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires.”

Titus 1:9
“Holding firmly the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict it.”

Titus 2:1
“But as for you, proclaim the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.”

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” Jesus
