WAS AND IS
In most translations of the New Testament we get a similar text as this one from the Revised Standard Version of the Gospel of John 1:1-5:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
I simply want to point out my understanding of these verses of Was and Is:
“In the beginning WAS the Word, and the Word WAS with God, and the Word IS God. He WAS in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him WAS NOT anything made that was made. In him IS life, and the life IS the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness DOES not overcome it.”
That’s just my take on it.
“People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Jesus
