READY FOR A FIGHT

Military strategist Sun Tzu (544 BC- 496 BC) on preparation:

“The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.” (Source: ‘The Art of War’)

To be ready for a fight with Satan one must believe that Satan exists and is out looking for a fight. Otherwise we get out butts kicked because we never thought there ‘was an enemy.’ “Only 2 in 5 Christians (78%) believe that Satan is a ‘real force’ or being, or anything to be concerned about.” (Barna Research statistics)

As Sun Tzu says, “It is not on the likelihood of the enemy coming (that will happen!), but on our readiness to fight the enemy. Not on the possibility of an attack, but making our position and ability ready for the attack that is sure to come. We must try and get ready for a fight before we have a fight. We must daily fight the evil and wicked influences that come to attack us. Get ready to fight! Knowledge of Spiritual Warfare is essential.
