WATER AND EMOTION
During the night back in May, I had a dream about the connection of water and our emotions. It is like our sensory system can see and experience various kinds of water and our emotions follow in kind.
For example: Waterfalls can cause us to hold our breath and wait. Oceans can produce awe, power, excitement or fear and trembling. Streams can initiate peace and levity, silence and contemplation. Brooks that bubble and babble have the same effect. Lakes seem to cause time and space to be the same size as the lake. Rivers that are large or small, rough and smooth, filled with white water, quiet water, or swift water seem to fill our emotions with the piece (peace?) of the river we are experiencing.
The water does not care if we drink it or not, swim in it or drown in it, walk on it or fall through it, pollute it or protect it, appreciate it or neglect it. But if the water could talk it might tell us many wonderful things about life, growth, struggle and journey and to take care of it because without it we will die.
“Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” Jesus
