A SMALL HOLE

“Even if the hole is small, water seeping through it can sink a ship.” (Ancient Wisdom)

Even if the hole is small in our character, it can sink our ship. And, if not sink it…run it into the rocks. As Timothy was reminded, “fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.” (1 Timothy 1:18-19)

We are wise to guard our hulls and our hearts and patch them if necessary.

“No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise, the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and the tear becomes worse.” Jesus
