WIND
In meteorology, winds are often referred to according to their strength, and the direction from which the wind is blowing. Short bursts of high-speed wind are termed gusts. Strong winds of intermediate duration (around one minute) are termed squalls. Long-duration winds have various names associated with their average strength, such as breeze, gale, storm, and hurricane.
Jesus said, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. “So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.” (Gospel of John 3:5-9)
It matters very little if the wind is a gust or a hurricane… when the wind comes calling for us we must be born of the water and the Spirit. The “wind blows wherever it wants” and we are to submit to the wind. The wind is the Holy Spirit. Or, we can fight it and be blown to anywhere and anything. The Lord simply desires to catch us with his wind.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.” (Amplified Bible) Jesus
