WE ALL WORSHIP SOMETHING
Worship is a human instinct. All cultures worship something: God, man, animals, fish, demons, birds, trinkets, carvings, rocks, totem poles, whatever… something.
Some have worshipped the Baal’s of Assyria, Osiris of Egypt, Brahma of India, Ormazd (Zoroaster) of Persia, Jupiter of Rome, Zeus of Greece, Great Spirit of Native Americans or Jehovah of Canaan. Most people worship something.
Not only is the earth filled with worship but so also is heaven. The Revelation of Jesus Christ 4:6-11says,
“Around the throne…. Day and night without ceasing they say,
“Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God the Almighty, who was and is and is to come.”
And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
We worship “The Lord God Almighty” the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit…the Triune God of scripture.
“You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.” Jesus
