SPEAKING FOR RIGHT THINGS

Those who are free and under the blood of Christ can, and should speak out. Speak out against sin, ungodly treatment of humans and animals, corrupt business practices, injustice, immorality, corrupt government, perversion, false religion…and all such evil.

Speak out for right things, righteous politicians, just government, good businesses, righteous youth, pure marriages, just causes…. for all righteousness and justice. Those who are not free and live in bondage have only a message of bondage…and that’s not worth telling. Those who are free have a message of life…and nothing should easily cause that to be silenced.

Here is the problem: so few of us feel or think we are morally, righteously or purely capable of such speaking. That is bunk and law. By grace and love we speak what we know is right. We must not live in the shadows of doubt and fear and condemnation. I would say…speak to what we wish we were and hope to be by the grace of God. But, still speak.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” Jesus
