THE NEW TREASURE

There is an inner place in each of us, which is like a great treasure hidden in the field of our soul that is waiting to be discovered. When we find this inner treasure, and recognize its value, we will happily give up all other goals and ambitions to make it real in our lives. We want to possess it and have it possess us. This is undoubtedly much of the frustration and despair of many trying to find the treasure in the field and then trying to buy the field. This is really the discovery of our self-worth and value to the Father. We are valuable. We are treasure.

It is difficult for us to accept our intrinsic value and to see that we belong to the very nature of the Father. We only find this treasure by faithful search. We may have to look in many fields and inspect many treasures before we find the one, which gives us so much joy and pleasure that we will sell all the others to buy it. But, this is the kingdom found and the kingdom received. (See Gospel of Matthew 13:44)
