FAITH TREE
Jesus taught the Parable of the Mustard Seed and it is translated several ways. The one I like best is in Matthew’s gospel:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
It takes Mustard Seed faith to understand the Kingdom of God. It starts out small and grows larger. I suppose we would know if we are growing in faith if we are becoming a place where the birds can come and build nests in our branches.
“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Jesus
