RIGHT RESPONSES

Self-hatred blocks people from loving others. Self pride blocks people from accepting others. Self-rejection often causes rejection of others and also many times leads to rejection of God.

These negative traits can only be turned around by self-love and acceptance in seeing our lives on a higher plane and purpose, that is, a sincere assent to myself is my sincere assent to God. One agrees with the other, just as sinful flight from God begins with sinful flight from us, so successful response to God begins with successful and right response to ourselves.
