HOLY SPIRIT PERSONALITY
Sometimes it is very easy to identify a person who has a Holy Spirit Personality. The tricky part is when someone is not a believer in Jesus Christ yet manifests godly traits. The Holy Spirit Personality is someone who displays the Fruit of the Spirit: “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:22-24)
Recently Roz and I were at a local Medical facility and as we walked into the front lobby area we met Anthony at the Hospitality Desk. He was about 65-70 years old and with a generous smile and peaceful countenance greeted us and helped us find our way offering any assistance to us as might be needed in this busy and confusing place. He was patient, kind, loving, joyful, peaceful, and gentle…serving sick, grouchy old people all day long. So I determined he had a Holy Spirit Personality or he was an angel…or he was crazy. Whatever they pay him is not enough… if he even gets paid. I think angels work for free.
A Holy Spirit Personality is someone who truly has the love of Jesus and desires to share it with others. Then again, the unbeliever who shares New Age mindfulness, sentimentality, sweetness, and caring with overly emotional responses can mask a true Holy Spirit Personality. The troubling thing to me is: what if others cannot detect if I have a Holy Spirit Personality or not? Yikes!
Lord, give us more Anthony’s.
