GIFTS ARE FOR GIVING

The Gospel of Mark 4:24-25 says, “Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it will measured to you, and more will given to you besides. For whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have. Even what he has shall be taken away from him.”

Our serving and giving of all Holy Spirit gifts is proportionate to our faith, but it also very proportionate to our understanding of asking, receiving and using of the gifts. Without this understanding we will continue to believe and consume gifts primarily on ourselves and continue in the dead and fruitlessness of a non-giving person. The seeds of death crack open whenever life has lost its value. When there are no gifts sweeping us along to power and victory, we die in our own obesity of consumption. Gifts are for giving and certainly not some identity tool that is providing some false status because of our personal lack and understanding of the things of God.
