BELIEF AND UNBELIEF

Frederick Buechner writes, “Unbelief is as much of a choice as belief is. What makes it in many ways more
appealing is that whereas to believe in something requires some measure of understanding and effort, not to believe doesn’t require much of anything at all.”

Even choosing to believe that we don’t believe is some kind of specific determination and decision. And of course the opposite is true in choosing to believe is a specific determination and decision.

As we start a new year I hope and pray that each one of us will make a firm and obvious decision to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. If we already believe it… believe it even more…live it more…rejoice in it more.
