AIR OUT YOUR BRAIN
Occasionally my wife Roz puts pillows, quilts, rugs and various other things outdoors to air them out. Meaning, they need to have clear outside air blow through them to cleanse and renew them and allow the sunshine to purify them.
Not long ago, after seeing her do this, I had a dream and in the dream I heard, “You need to air out your brain.” I could instantly see the similarity and the reasoning for airing out anything. The brain needs fresh air, clear pure air blowing into it with new thoughts, ideas and cleansing. While this happens, it also gets rid of old musty, impure, negative and destructive thoughts.
I am not recommending we somehow try to hang our brains on the clothesline, and if you do… you really do need some airing out. But I am thinking we sure need to air out our stale, stinkin’ thinkin’ every so often.
The apostle Paul wrote to the Roman Church and the Ephesian Church a very similar suggestion, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,” and “to be renewed in the spirit of your minds.”
Air it out brothers and sisters; air it out.
“Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” Jesus
