CART TRAINER #2
In researching the stores that have had someone train their carts not to cross over the parking lot line perimeters and to lock their wheels tightly at the first glace of a trespass of an outside yellow line now had my full interest. I found that stores like Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot, Target and others are using Cart Trainers to train their carts not to leave the parking lots and become part of various enterprises for can collecting, paper collecting, room additions, clothing storage, and complete housing units for others.
All these large retailers said they had other programs to help with some of the enterprises mentioned, and that they would appreciate their carts staying in the parking lots.
The Cart Trainers have done a wonderful job: these carts are smart. Now, in my time, I have done a little training with horses, mules and several good work dogs, with pretty good results. My only real failure was one blasted un-trainable good-for-nothing, sorry, hard-headed, nasty little 30” tall Shetland Pony I purchased for our kids that almost killed me trying to train it. (You own a Shetland Pony…you deserve a Shetland Pony)
I thought with my training background I could surely train carts for these supermarkets.
I went in to apply for a job Training Carts.
No, really, this is what happened.
