YOUR KINGDOM COME

To pray “your kingdom come” is also to pray, my Kingdom go. All other Kingdoms go. This would include any Kingdom that is more important than the Kingdom of God. This would include church kingdoms, political kingdoms, recreation kingdoms, media kingdoms, sports kingdoms… all kingdoms.

We may have other kingdoms but they are to be under and included in our allegiance to the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is the Rule and Reign of God in the conscience of the individual. This is the only government that will change the nations and us. Jesus said, “To everyone who conquers and continues to do my works to the end, I will give authority over the nations; to rule them with an iron rod, as when clay pots are shattered; even as I also received authority from my Father. To the one who conquers I will also give the morning star. Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches.”

The Morningstar is Christ Himself. I’m in.
