UNTYING A KNOT
I noticed that the word forgiveness means to remit or send away debt, sins and the very thoughts of the heart that need forgiven and cancelled. This removal is based on the sacrifice of Christ. The conditions are repentance and confession.
Another form of the word forgiveness is close to the word deliver or delivered. To be set-free, loosed, rescued, to make free, to release from bondage, imprisonment or captivity. Forgiveness is to be released. It is ‘untying the knot’ that has us bound and imprisoned in the unforgiveness of our own ego, mind, emotions, body and false spirit. Forgiveness unties the knot. Jesus is the Deliverer. The prison gate opens with repentance and confession. We can go free.
“And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and you shall be released.” (Luke 6:37 ASV)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Jesus
