THE HOLY MOUNTAIN
Often my ‘to do list’ is more pressing than spending time alone with the Lord and Lover and listening to His voice. This only points to the delusion of having something in my life that has become bigger, at least for these frustrating moments, than the largeness of Jesus. When this happens I must quickly rise up in my mind and go to the holy mountain.
The holy mountain is a place. The place is not so easily defined as a geographic place because it has nothing to do with geography. It is a place of intention. It is where my heart gives way to every other intention to be intentional to the presence of God. Any other presence must flee. There is no room for duality. There is no mixture of purpose, plan, or presence on the mountain. Whatever continues to frustrate my heart is chipped away to nothing by the hammer of His grace in solitude. That is what makes the mountain holy.
