THE GREAT COMMANDMENT

When the Pharisees sent one their own, a lawyer, to trap Jesus with questions they asked him, “Teacher what is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.  And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

John Peters (Slow Turtle), Wampanoag Tribe says,
“When you remove love and try to replace it with
monetary things, you’ve got nothing … get him to
understand that he has to love himself before he
can love anything else.”

It is said, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” That’s the trouble, most of us do.
