THE COMPUTER MONITOR
There all kinds and sizes of Computer Monitors one can purchase to have a larger screen for computer operations. The monitor makes the visual larger and easier for the user… especially if the user can’t see worth a flip anyway.
What I did not realize is that the one I bought was a Lightning and Thunder Model. I guess it is built in at the Big Monitor Factory. The great benefit of this is you get to see and experience the Lightning and Thunder as you install your new monitor.
While hooking up the Computer Monitor, it wasn’t long before I could hear sounds like Lightning and Thunder in the High Country…. Lots of noise and crackling sounds of thunder, electrical sparks, then a buzzing noise, then a another cracking noise… then smoke and puffing smoke and then silence for a moment. Just when I thought it is over there was the sound of a sustained sizzle… and then a complete silence. I assumed that after the display and careful work of putting this all together I would have my new monitor. Not so.
The person at the Monitor Store said it was totally fried… like, he said, “like Lightning and Thunder had hit it.” I said, “Well, yeah!” I still don’t understand what could have gone wrong in this whole deal. I still don’t have a monitor.
No, really, that is what happened.
