RED, WHITE AND BLUE #2
But then I heard this: “What is in the middle of Red, White and Blue?” I answered, “White.” “That’s correct and this word is not about Red and Blue… it is about White. Not White Race, not White Supremacy, not White Males and not White Privilege but about the White as a color and symbol of Purity, Cleanness, Righteousness and Holiness. As the prophet said, “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18) It is that kind of white: purity, cleanness and restitution.
After I heard this I was sobered and yet encouraged because I remembered what Daniel had seen:
“As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.” (Daniel 7:9)
And this must have been what the three saw at the Transfiguration:
“Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly bleach could ever make them.” (Mark 9:2-3)
