PEACEMAKING

In a recent note to a friend concerning Peacemaking I wrote, “But to possess peace there must be a source and understanding of peace. Peace does not just come by thinking peaceful thoughts… although that helps. Peace comes from the Source of peace making new hearts and minds and creating changed persons. Treaties and Agreements and Alliances are simply man-made peace and it never lasts for very long before someone decides not to be a peacemaker.” 

For Peacemaking to really be effective and lasting one must embrace and impose the Golden Rule: “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.” Without this it will be a phony-baloney peace and a short-lived attempt at Peacemaking. If we ain’t all in…we ain’t in at all.
